Phnom Penh (AP): The Cambodian government says it has decided to seek help from the FBI in trying to solve the recent killing of an opposition party affiliated journalist and his son.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Interior Police Lt Gen. Khieu Sopheak yesterday said that the government plans to send a formal request on Monday to the FBI office attached to the US Embassy asking for assistance.
He said an FBI help could expedite the investigation to arrest the culprits in the killing of 47-year-old Khem Sambo and his 21-year-old son. The victims died after they were gunned down in a drive-by shooting July 11.
